French Fête: A Bastille Day Celebration

Looking for something fun to do this Bastille Day? We love throwing parties, especially when they revolve around French food! Come celebrate French Independence Day at The Chopping Block and enjoy cooking demonstrations with our professional chefs, samples of delectable French fare, and tastings of French wines and a specialty cocktail.

We're turning the first floor of our Lincoln Square location (patio included) into a French fête! Our chefs will be demonstrating how to prepare mouth-watering French recipes so you can learn how to recreate the classics at home.

Come learn how to make:

• Croque Monsieur
• Bistro Salad with Croutons and Poached Eggs
• Grilled Ratatouille
• Tarte Flambée (Alsatian Onion and Bacon Pizza)
  

We'll provide tastings of:

• Herbs de Provence Popcorn
• Gougères (French Cheese Puffs)
• Mini Smoked Salmon and Asparagus Quiche
• Crêpes with Chocolate Sauce
• Fresh Fruit with Pastry Cream

Tastings of two French red wines, two French white wines, and a French 75 cocktail will be provided during the event, but we'll also have glasses and bottles of wine for sale during the event. Come any time between 11am and 2pm!
