Virtual Wine Seminar: The Great Wine Scandals

Join us for some great juice! No, we’re not talking about grape juice, although we will taste delicious wines! Join Advanced Sommelier, Mary Ross, in this virtual class as we talk about juicy bits of scandal that rocked the wine world (some still rocking!) and how that influences what we’re drinking today. We’ll practice tasting techniques worthy of a Master while enjoying five international wines that illustrate the discussion. To enhance your experience during class, we recommend you’re tasting bottles featuring the same region and grape as Mary. This includes: 

  • Riesling from Austria (If not available, try Gruner Veltliner)
  • Sauvignon Blanc from Chile (Must be Chile)
  • Red Blend from France
  • Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon
  • Pinot Noir from California


We also recommend you have the same snacks Mary will be speaking to in class for a full tasting experience; details about the food are included in the class packet. You can choose to join this demonstration class virtually from the comfort of your own home where you'll be able to see and hear the instructor and ask your questions via the chat feature in Zoom.
