Virtual Wine Tasting: Must-Have Reds for Your Holidays

Explore the world’s most popular reds, sought-after by winemakers, sommeliers and wine lovers alike for quality and sheer deliciousness. Join Advanced Sommelier, Mary Ross, as she focuses on three prominent red wine styles - including history, tasting tips, food complements and up-to-date wine insider news – along with
three alternatives.

These are the reds to keep on hand for all your seasonal needs, from gifting and entertaining to transforming a simple dinner at home into a special occasion. Be ready for the season with these must-have reds!

To enhance your experience, we recommend you’re tasting the same wines with Mary Ross during class. Order your three 750ml bottles of red wine no later than November 28^th for curbside pickup from The Chopping Block Lincoln Square on Tuesday, 11/24 or Saturday, 11/28 from 3-5pm.

• Pinot Noir, Eola Hills, 2016
• Cabernet Sauvignon, Requiem, 2016
• Chianti Classico, Il Molino de Grace, 2015

If you’re unable to pick up the wines from TCB, we recommend you procure bottles featuring the same region and grape. This includes:

• Pinot Noir from Oregon
• Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley
• Chianti Classico from Tuscany

Order one of our cheese and charcuterie plates to complete your evening, available for curbside pickup on Saturday, 11/28 from 4-5pm! 

Our virtual tastings, via Zoom, are a fun opportunity to watch your sommelier in action. Our Zoom moderator will make sure your questions submitted through the chat option are answered during or  after class. The tasting packet will be provided upon registration. 

Since our stores remain closed for COVID-19, we unfortunately cannot accept gift cards as form of payment for virtual classes at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience!
