Tequila and mezcal, Mexican spirits made from agave, are the most illuminating experience of terroir, culture and 500 years of history all captured in a bottle. In this hands-on class, you'll come explore the beauty and complexity of these spirits, unlock its secrets and see firsthand what its traditions hold while preparing the cocktails. The passion for this spirit will be evident as spirits expert, Christophe Bakunas, walks you through the artisanal and commercial production of agave, decodes the variations between tequila and mezcal and takes you on a journey to understand the rich and colorful history of this mysterious, Mexican spirit.
