Hands-On Cake Decorating

Have your cake and eat it, too! Decorating a cake can seem like an intimidating task, but our expert Chopping Block pastry chef will teach you how to assemble and decorate a four-layer, six-inch vanilla celebration cake with maximum wow factor and minimal effort and tools! We'll teach you fundamental cake decorating techniques such as cake assembly, how to apply a crumb coat, and how to decorate your cake with a variety of piping tips designed to create a beautiful cake perfect for any occasion. Each student will learn the same piping and decorating techniques in order to create a cake inspired by the picture associated with this class. You'll then go home with your decorated cake so you can impress family and friends.
The cake and frosting will be prepared ahead of time (recipes will be included), so we can focus on piping and decorating techniques during class time.

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
