Teen Cooking Class: Hands-On Spanish Tapas

Teens, ages 12-16, are invited to join us for a fun hands-on class where you get to eat what you make in class. Our chef will teach your teen all about the tools, ingredients and techniques needed to successfully make an assortment of mouth-watering Spanish snacks.

Menu:

• Paella with Shrimp and Chorizo  
• Black Bean and Cheddar Empanadas 
• Baked Goat Cheese in Tomato Sauce with Grilled Bread
• Bacon-Wrapped Dates with Balsamic Glaze

Skills covered in class:

• Getting familiar with Spanish cuisine and ingredients 
• Knife skills
• Working with arborio rice
• Searing shrimp
• Rolling out empanada dough
• Making bean fillings
• Preparing tomato sauce
• Grilling bread

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
