Hands On Kids/Teen Baking/Pastry

We welcome kids ages 7 to 11 to join us for a three-day mini camp featuring baking and pastry techniques that can easily be recreated at home for friends and family. We will focus on following recipes, proper measuring, classic techniques, presentation, working cleanly and safely in the kitchen, and exploring new flavors.
Day 1: Quick Breads and Short Pastry 

  • Mini Lemon Pound Cakes with Vanilla Glaze
  • Banana Bread Muffins with Chocolate Frosting 
  • Chocolate Chip Scones 

Day 2: French Pastry

  • Cream Puffs with Pastry Cream 
  • Chocolate Mousse
  • Cinnamon-Sugar Palmier Cookies

Day 3: Fruit Desserts

  • Apple-Oatmeal Cookies   
  • Mixed Berry Pavlova with Whipped Cream
  • Individual Peach Cobblers 
  • Cherry Turnovers with Puff Pastry
