Hands-On Festive Family Baking

Bring the whole gang and join us for a hands-on, festive family baking class at Lincoln Square! Children ages 6 and older are invited to bake an assortment of holiday confections with their parents, families or guardians. Each group will go home with a box of treats to share with additional friends or family, or to keep for yourselves!  This hands-on class is designed for children ages 6 and older to cook with their parents, families or guardians.

Menu: 

• Peppermint-Vanilla Cupcakes with White Chocolate Frosting
• Gingerbread Bars with Vanilla Glaze and Holiday Sprinkles    
• Chocolate Sandwich Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting 
• Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies
• Butter Cookie “Pretzels” with Red and Green Crystal Sugar

• Understanding baking ingredients
• Mixing cake batter
• Determining cake doneness
• Selecting chocolate
• Making glazes 
• Working with frosting 
• Making and baking cookie dough
• Preparing drop cookies 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
