In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to transform simple ingredients into hearty, flavorful bowls that warm the soul and are perfect for family dinners, game nights or just curling up on the couch. This class will give you the skills (and recipes!) to keep you warm all season long.

• Gumbo with Crab and Andouille Sausage with Steamed Rice
• Chicken and Herb Dumplings
• French Onion Soup with Gruyere Cheese Crouton

Skills covered in class: 

• Making roux
• Knife skills
• Selecting crab meat and chicken 
• Balancing flavors
• Getting familiar with Cajun ingredients
• Working with fresh herbs and spices
• Caramelizing vegetables

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
