Teens Cooking Class: Hands-On Ramen and Dumpling Workshop

Learn how to make ramen noodles from scratch! Teens, ages 13-17, are invited to join us for a fun hands-on class where you get to eat what you make in class. Our chef will teach your teen all about the tools and ingredients needed to successfully make ramen and dumplings, and with a little practice and our chef’s helpful hints, you’ll learn just how easy it really is to make a Japanese-inspired meal in your own kitchen.

• Steamed Pork Dumplings with Soy Dipping Sauce  
• Homemade Ramen Noodles with Miso-Soy Broth   

Skills covered in class: 

• Getting familiar with Japanese cuisine and ingredients
• Working with dumpling wrappers
• Steaming and crisping dumplings
• Making dumpling filling
• Rolling out ramen noodle dough
• Using a pasta roller 
• Preparing broth
• Working with miso paste 
• Soft boiling eggs 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
