Hands-On Family Night: Sushi Party

Bring the whole gang and join us for a hands-on sushi cooking class! Families will have fun cooking and eating a delicious meal together while learning about Japanese ingredients and techniques for rolling sushi. This class is designed for children ages 6 and older to cook with their parents, families or guardians.

• Assorted Vegetable Tempura with Dipping Sauce  
• Spicy Tuna Maki Rolls 
• California Rolls with Avocado, Cucumber and Crab Stick 
• Ginger Pot de Crème   

Skills covered in class: 

• Getting familiar with Japanese ingredients
• Preparing batter
• Deep frying
• Preparing and seasoning sushi rice 
• Purchasing and handling sushi-grade fish 
• Using a bamboo rolling mat 
• Making and baking custard

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
