Teen Baking Class: Hands-On Bake-n-Take Pumpkin Pie

Teens, ages 12-16, are invited to join us for a hands-on holiday baking class. Each student will prepare their very own take-home 9-inch pumpkin pie (perfect for your holiday table!) in a disposable pie pan with our homemade flaky and tender pie dough. Our chef will teach rolling and crimping techniques along with how to make the perfect filling. While the pies are baking, we’ll make apple fritters to enjoy during class. Cake boxes will be provided to transport the pies.

• Rolling out and crimping pie dough
• Making and baking custard
• How to tell when pie is done
• Making fritter batter
• Deep frying
• Preparing glazes 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
