The Italian Renaissance of Wine

We welcome anyone over the age of 18 to participate in any of our cooking classes. Students younger than 18 can participate in our kids/teen classes/camps and Family Night classes. You must be 21 years old or older to attend any class in which alcohol is being served. You will be asked to present a valid ID at the time of check-in. If there is an age requirement for a class, it will be listed in the class description.

The Chopping Block is responsible for serving, monitoring and ensuring safe alcohol consumption of our guests. We are obligated as a business to uphold the terms of our Illinois state liquor license and our insurance, but also to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests and teammates within the venue. We have the right to end alcohol beverage service to any guest if we deem necessary.

We will do our best to accommodate food allergies, but we cannot change class menus or guarantee that those with diet restrictions will be able to eat everything made during class. If you have any of the following allergies: Gluten, Nuts, Dairy, Soy, Shellfish, Eggs please email lincoln@thechoppingblock.com in advance of booking so that we may assess if this menu will work with your dietary restrictions. Please note our kitchens are not a gluten or nut-free environment.

All classes have a three-day cancellation policy. You must email lincoln@thechoppingblock.com to cancel an existing reservation. If you cancel more than 3 days in advance and have paid with a credit card, you will receive a refund to your card, minus the administrative fee. If you cancel more than 3 days in advance and have paid with a gift card, you will receive an account credit valid toward future classes, minus the administrative fee. If you cancel within three days of your class, you will receive a account credit equal to 50% of the class price. This credit is valid for one year. If you are unable to attend, you are also welcome to send a guest in your place.

Please note it may be necessary to cancel select classes if 5 or less guests enroll. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, and we will personally reach out to each guest in case of cancellation.

A non-refundable, non-transferable 15% fee is applied for the operational and administrative costs incurred by TCB.

Only credit cards and gift cards will be accepted for payment of any wine, beer or retail purchases at this time. Account credits are valid for classes only. Sorry, no cash will be accepted.

The Chopping Block sometimes takes photographs and video during our classes, which are used for various purposes, such as promotion and advertising. We ask for permission to use your likeness in promotional material to promote our classes and events. Therefore, you release The Chopping Block and its representatives, licensees, employees, photographers and their designers from any and all liability for any violation of any privacy or proprietary rights.
