Hands-On April in Paris

Why does the world love Paris? For the fashion? Mais oui. For the romance? Bien sur. And at The Chopping Block, we love Paris for the food! With our Chefs as your guide, you'll practice classic cooking techniques in this hands-on class to create your own elegant French meal.

• Mixed Green, Hazelnut and Goat Cheese Salad with Dijon Vinaigrette
• Sautéed Trout with Haricots Verts Almondine (French Green Beans with Toasted Almonds and Lemon)
• Roasted New Potatoes with Truffle-Parsley Butter
• Strawberry Clafouti

• Getting familiar with French cooking techniques 
• Making vinaigrette 
• Balancing flavors 
• Selecting and sautéing fish 
• Preparing a pan sauce 
• Selecting and roasting potatoes
• Blanching green vegetables 
• Working with fresh herbs 
• Making and baking custard

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
