Spice up your week, and dive into the culturally diverse cuisine of Cuba in this hands-on class! Join our chef as we teach you how to prepare sweet and savory Cuban food inspired by Spanish, Caribbean and African cuisines. Mojitos will be available for purchase tonight!
 
Menu:

  • Cuban Plantain Nachos with Avocados, Black Beans and Tomatoes 
  • Spice Rubbed and Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Mojo Verde 
  • Roasted Poblano and Cilantro Rice 
  • Pudín de Pan (Spiced Pineapple Bread Pudding)

  • Getting familiar with Cuban ingredients 
  • Working with and frying plantains 
  • Roasting peppers
  • Selecting avocados and pork 
  • Roasting pork 
  • Determining meat doneness 
  • Working with fresh herbs and spices 
  • Steaming rice 
  • Making and baking custard
  • Cutting pineapple 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
