Hands-On Family Baking: Fruity Fun!

Bring the whole gang and join us for a hands-on, family baking class featuring seasonal fruit! Families will have fun creating and enjoying sweet treats together while learning pastry tips and tricks along the way. This hands-on class is designed for children ages 6 and older to cook with their parents, families or guardians.

Menu:

• Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Curd Filling and Strawberry Frosting
• Peach Crumble Bars with Vanilla Glaze
• Crêpes with Cream Cheese Filling and Blueberry Sauce 

Skills covered in class:

• Selecting and cutting stone fruit
• Making short crust
• Preparing glazes
• Mixing cake batter
• Determining cake doneness
• Making curd, frosting and fruit sauces
• Preparing crêpes 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
