Hands-On Beyond the Burger on the Grill

Get creative in this hands-on class, and expand your burger horizons this grilling season! Grilling classes take place outdoors on our patio. In case of inclement weather, class will be moved indoors and taught as a hands-on cooking class with an emphasis on using indoor grill pans.

Menu:

  • Cheese-Stuffed Sirloin Burgers with Bacon and BBQ Sauce on a Pretzel Roll 
  • Salmon Sliders with Arugula, Oven-Dried Tomatoes and Lemon Aioli on Hawaiian Rolls 
  • Greek Lamb Burgers with Cucumber-Yogurt Sauce and Feta Cheese in a Pita 

Skills covered in class: 

  • How to set up your grill 
  • Selecting ground beef, salmon and lamb 
  • Forming burgers 
  • Determining meat doneness 
  • Making aioli 
  • Working with fresh herbs and spices 
  • Preparing yogurt sauces 
  • Balancing flavors 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
