Sips and Sweets: Hands-On Dessert and Wine Pairing

If you have a sweet tooth and a passion for wine, then this is the class for you! We have created an exciting partial hands-on French desserts class combined with wine pairing for the ultimate tasting event. Class will be interweaved with cooking and the tasting of three carefully curated wines for an unforgettable experience. Information about the wine’s characteristics will be provided by your chef for a better understanding of why the desserts and wines are a perfect match and are examples of harmonious flavor profiles. The wines tasted during class will be 10% off. The crème brûlée will be prepared in advance, but the chef will demo the recipe during class. Each student will have the opportunity to brûlée the tops.

  • Mille Feuille (Puff Pastry Napoleon) with Strawberry Pastry Cream, Fresh Strawberries, Basil and Mascarpone Cream Paired with:
    • Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG, Marenco “Pineto”, 2023, Piedmont, Italy
  • Almond and Luxardo Cherry Financier Paired with:
    • “Sweet Red”, Castello Del Poggio, NV, Italy
  • Chocolate Crème Brûlée Paired with: 
    • Tannat, Pablo Fallabrino “Alcyone Dessert Wine” NV, Uruguay

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
