Hands-On Korean BBQ on the Grill

Enjoy a new experience on the grill this summer as we dive into the bold and savory flavors of Korea. Grilling classes take place outdoors on our patio. In case of inclement weather, class will be moved indoors and taught as a hands-on cooking class with an emphasis on using indoor grill pans.

Menu:

  • Gochujang BBQ-Glazed Beef Burgers with Kimchi Slaw and Sesame-Scallion Mayo 
  • Japchae (Korean Glass Noodles) with Grilled Shrimp, Peppers and Onions  
  • Bulgogi (Marinated Ribeye) Lettuce Wraps with Sweet and Sour Cucumbers and Steamed Jasmine Rice

  • How to set up your grill
  • Getting familiar with Korean ingredients and flavors
  • Balancing flavors
  • Selecting and grilling beef
  • Determining beef doneness
  • Working with glass noodles
  • Selecting and grilling shrimp
  • Determining shrimp doneness
  • Grilling vegetables
  • Making marinades

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
