Dieting can feel restrictive and be difficult to maintain, but embracing an overall healthier lifestyle and outlook instead can be much more rewarding and long lasting. Chef John Peters, diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2019, had a series of successful surgeries to remove the mass but knew he needed to make a lifestyle change in order to be the best possible version of himself. Completely self-motivated, John adopted a mostly plant-based way of eating where he tracked all of his meals and recorded his daily menus, and incorporated physical exercise into his routine. With consistency, hard work, support from family and friends, and listening to his body, John has lost 145 pounds! John has learned a lot from his weight loss and change-of-lifestyle journey, and is excited to share his successes with you.
