Hands-On Girls Who Grill with Babs

Girls Who Grill is the ultimate beginner-friendly grilling class designed to help you master the gas grill with confidence! Join Babs, entertainer and grilling enthusiast, for a fun and interactive grilling class where she will share all her best tips and tricks for successful grilling. You will learn how to grill an entire meal - appetizer to dessert - so you can fire up the grill with ease and impress your family and friends. No experience? No problem! By the end of the class, you’ll be flipping, searing and serving like a pro. Because great barbecue isn’t just for the guys…it’s for everyone!
Grilling classes take place outdoors on our patio. In case of inclement weather, class will be moved indoors and taught as a hands-on cooking class with an emphasis on using indoor grill pans.

Menu:

• Grilled Tomatoes and Peppers with Burrata, Olive Oil and Balsamic
• Grilled Shrimp Skewers with Hot Pepper Peach-Bourbon Sauce
• Dry Rubbed and Grilled Chicken Breasts and Skirt Steak with Grilled New Potatoes
• Cast Iron Skillet Brownies on the Grill with Vanilla Ice Cream

After a successful 25-year corporate career, Babs followed her passion for entertaining and founded Babs Boards in 2021. She has taught over 130 Girls Who Grill and charcuterie classes, inspiring more women to step up to the grill with confidence. Babs has been a guest chef at The Weber Grill Cooking School, was the only female competitor in an Ace Hardware’s Wings Competition, and regularly appears on Chicago morning TV, showcasing grilling and entertaining tips. On April 2nd, she made her QVC debut with Char Crust, bringing her grilling expertise to a national audience.  Babs’s mission isn’t about being the best pit master—it’s about making grilling approachable, fun, and accessible for everyone. In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
