Hands-On Dim Sum

Celebrate Chinese New Year and have fun preparing and enjoying some traditional dim sum favorites in this hands-on class.
 
Menu: 

• Shrimp Toast with Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce 
• Chicken Bao (Chicken-Filled Buns) 
• Vegetable Pot Stickers with Soy Dipping Sauce 
• Chinese Meatballs with Fermented Black Bean Sauce 

Skills covered in class: 

• Shrimp fillings 
• Preparing yeast dough 
• Steaming 
• Deep-frying 
• Working with dried mushrooms and dumpling wrappers 
• Selecting ground meat 
• Making Asian sauces 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
