French Food and Wine Pairing: An Exploration of French and Domestic Varietals

What could be more fun than tasting wine from around the world paired with French cuisine? Join us for a special food and wine pairing as we taste a total of six wines – three French and three domestic – that share grape varietals but come from different regions. Join Sommelier Christophe Bakunas for a vibrant conversation on how and why wine-growing geography, climate, elevation and soil truly effect the nuances of a wine’s flavor profile. We’ll taste wines from California to Bordeaux, and learn how to make successful food pairings that complement the wines along the way. Whether you’re planning a dinner party or looking to expand your knowledge, this class will most certainly up your wine game! Generous tasting portions of each course will be served.
